EasyDeal

How much should a referral reward be in Thailand?

On EasyDeal, rentals often pay one month's rent and sales commonly 1–3% of the price, with lower percentages on bigger deals. You can also set a fixed amount. It's your call, and the AI suggests a starting point.

Updated

Three ways to set it

  1. 1A fixed amount, e.g. ฿30,000, whatever the final price turns out to be.
  2. 2A percentage of the price, worked out on the price actually agreed at closing, not the listed price. Sales only.
  3. 3By lease length, e.g. ฿30,000 for a 12-month lease and ฿16,000 for 6 months. Rentals only.

Worked examples

  1. 1Condo sold for ฿5,000,000 with a 2% reward: the scout receives ฿100,000 and the seller keeps ฿4,900,000.
  2. 2Unit rented at ฿24,000 a month with a one-month reward: the scout receives ฿24,000, once, when the lease is signed.
  3. 3Watch sale with a fixed ฿30,000 reward: the scout receives ฿30,000, regardless of the final price.

When a percentage becomes an amount

Both sides confirm the final price in the closing agreement in the app. That is when a percentage reward turns into an exact amount, which the lister pays within 7 days.
